Using super sculpey for the 1st time to create a small statue incorporating elements from my puppet sculpture……a female version. By using a light colour on the body & emphasing the breasts and belly with a nude colour I hope to give this statue an anthropomorphic quality.

Finished! ๐๐ป๐
Finally finished! It was a real learning curve using oils to try and capture a sense of unease. The narrative is left open for interpretation.

Life drawing with a twistย
1st life drawing class for quite a few years, however all that we know or feel comfortable would be put aside for some unconventional but liberating techniques. A combination of drawing without seeing, using opposite hand and making a mark using a long cane. Ironically the best one was using all three methods.
Finally working on this painting…..
This painting has been propped up in the studio at uni for weeks, now feel ready to tackle it. A link from last terms work to my current practice featuring the hare/stork figure. A dream like world featuring events from the day coupled with a solitary figure conjuring up dark emotions.
